Floki is stepping into the competitive gaming spotlight with the first official tournament for its flagship play-to-earn game,Valhalla. The event, announced on September 24, is set to begin with qualifiers on September 30, followed by the main competition on October 4–5, 2025.

The move underscores the project’s community-first ethos, rewarding both top competitors and casual players alike.
“Valhalla Tournament #1 marks the dawn of a new competitive era. Whether you rise as champion or fall in battle, your name will be etched into Valhalla history,” the announcement declared.
Valhalla officially launched on the opBNB mainnet in June 2025, following years of development. The tactical MMORPG combines PvP strategy with upgradeable NFTs, known in-game asveras. Each character carries unique stats and abilities, adding a layer of depth to combat and ensuring that progression is player-driven. Beyond combat, Valhalla’s player-owned economy positions it as a notable contender in the GameFi ecosystem, where projects such as Immutable, Gala, The Sandbox, and Axie Infinity have already carved out significant followings. By tying gameplay to tokenized rewards, Valhalla embodies the growing convergence of entertainment and decentralized finance.
The $150,000 tournament represents more than just a chance for players to compete. It signals Floki’s ambition to position itself at the forefront of blockchain gaming innovation. By hosting a high-stakes competition early in the life cycle of its flagship title, Floki is testing not only the competitive readiness of its community but also the scalability and appeal of its metaverse vision. As blockchain games battle for mainstream adoption, tournaments like this one could prove decisive. A successful debut would bolster Floki’s reputation within the crowded GameFi sector, while also showcasing how play-to-earn models can deliver both engagement and tangible rewards.
For those eager to join the Viking-inspired adventure, registration details and event guidelines are available on Floki’s official X account. Whether players emerge victorious or fall short in battle, the tournament sets the stage for Valhalla’s future as a competitive hub within web3 gaming.
