Securitize Partners with World's Largest Transfer Agent to Bring Equities Onchain

San Francisco, CA — April 29, 2026 — Securitize, a blockchain-based securities platform, has announced a strategic partnership with the world's largest transfer agent to enable direct tokenization of equities and other securities on public blockchain infrastructure. The collaboration integrates Securitize's compliant tokenization platform with the transfer agent's existing registry infrastructure, providing a regulatory-compliant pathway for public and private companies to issue onchain securities at institutional scale.

The partnership addresses a foundational gap in the tokenized securities ecosystem: connecting traditional shareholder recordkeeping systems directly to blockchain ledgers without requiring issuers to rebuild compliance infrastructure from scratch.

Bridging Legacy Infrastructure and Blockchain Rails

Under the agreement, the transfer agent will leverage Securitize's SEC-qualified tokenization platform to offer onchain securities issuance and management to its existing client base. Securitize has issued over $1.2 billion in tokenized securities to date, operating under SEC Regulation A+, Regulation D, and Regulation S frameworks. The integration enables 24/7 trading, near-instant settlement, and programmable compliance features — capabilities unavailable on legacy transfer agent systems.

"This partnership connects the existing securities infrastructure that governs trillions in assets to the efficiency and transparency of blockchain technology," said Carlos Domingo, CEO of Securitize. "We're not replacing the transfer agent model — we're extending it into the digital age."

The tokenized securities market currently stands at approximately $2–5 billion but is projected to reach $24 trillion by 2030, according to Boston Consulting Group. The world's largest transfer agent administers securities across millions of investor accounts globally, giving the partnership immediate access to a client base that would otherwise take years to build independently.

Institutional Momentum Builds

The announcement follows broader institutional blockchain integration activity. Visa has expanded stablecoin settlement infrastructure across multiple payment corridors, and BlackRock's tokenized fund products have demonstrated sustained institutional demand. Securitize's transfer agent partnership takes a distinct approach: rather than building a closed proprietary system, the collaboration positions Securitize as shared infrastructure accessible across the market.

More than 50 companies have already tokenized securities on the Securitize platform. The transfer agent partnership is expected to reduce onboarding friction for issuers already using the transfer agent's registry services.

Regulatory Compliance

Securitize operates within established SEC regulatory frameworks, including Regulation A+, Regulation D, and Regulation S. The transfer agent brings its own regulatory relationships and investor verification infrastructure, creating a compliance stack that addresses custody, recordkeeping, and investor eligibility requirements simultaneously.

The partnership is expected to support initial integrations beginning Q3 2026, with the first publicly announced equity tokenization on the combined platform targeted for Q4 2026. SEC guidance on tokenized securities trading and settlement is anticipated between late 2026 and mid-2027.

Secondary trading volume on tokenized securities remains nascent, estimated at $50–100 million annually across platforms. Securitize and its transfer agent partner have indicated plans to develop institutional trading venues to address liquidity constraints as issuance scales.
