Chainlink, SWIFT, UBS, and Euroclear Partner to Address $58 Billion in AI-Driven Corporate Actions Risk
New York, August 1, 2026. Chainlink has announced a strategic partnership with SWIFT, UBS, and Euroclear to deploy decentralized oracle infrastructure across global corporate actions settlement, targeting an estimated $58 billion in annual AI-related risk exposure. The collaboration marks the first major integration of decentralized oracle technology into core settlement infrastructure at institutional scale, covering a market that processes over $4.2 trillion in dividends, stock splits, mergers, and proxy voting annually.
The partnership addresses a specific and growing problem: AI-driven automation has accelerated corporate action processing velocity while simultaneously creating new failure modes that legacy verification systems cannot reliably detect. Settlement failures, processing errors, and compliance violations in corporate actions currently cost the industry tens of billions annually. Chainlink's oracle network will provide tamper-proof, multi-source data verification for corporate action events — including dividend declarations, merger completions, and stock split ratios — enabling settlement verification that existing infrastructure cannot perform independently.
Each partner contributes distinct capabilities. SWIFT brings its messaging network of over 45 million daily messages across 11,000 member institutions, providing immediate distribution scale. Euroclear, which settled $1.2 quadrillion in securities in 2025, contributes settlement expertise and direct integration with European market infrastructure. UBS, managing $5.0 trillion in client assets, provides institutional scale and a direct pipeline for corporate actions processing across its client base. Chainlink contributes its oracle network, which currently secures $8.2 billion in total value locked across the DeFi ecosystem, along with seven years of production-grade reliability data. The technical objective is reducing settlement from the current T+2 standard to near-instantaneous verification through blockchain-based confirmation of corporate action events across multiple authoritative data sources simultaneously.
"Corporate actions processing has long been one of the most operationally complex areas of financial markets," said Sergey Nazarov, Co-Founder of Chainlink. "AI automation has increased processing speed but also introduced new categories of risk that require decentralized verification to resolve. This partnership provides the infrastructure layer that makes institutional blockchain settlement reliable enough for systemically important financial infrastructure."
SWIFT's Head of Innovation noted in a statement accompanying the announcement that the initiative builds on SWIFT's existing blockchain interoperability work and positions the messaging network to support next-generation settlement infrastructure without requiring member institutions to replace existing systems.
The rollout is structured in phases. Phase one, targeting Q4 2026 through Q1 2027, integrates Chainlink oracle feeds into SWIFT messaging infrastructure for an initial cohort of early-adopter institutions. Phase two, planned for Q1 2027, executes the first live corporate action settlement via the combined infrastructure. Broader adoption across SWIFT's member network is targeted for Q2 2027, contingent on regulatory approvals in the EU, UK, and Singapore.
The announcement follows a pattern of institutional blockchain adoption in 2026. Visa integrated stablecoin settlement across Coinbase Base and Polygon in April. Securitize partnered with the world's largest transfer agent to tokenize equities on-chain the same month. This partnership extends that pattern into settlement infrastructure.
