Zoomex Adds Backtesting and Grid Automation to Strategy Center

Zoomex has expanded its Strategy Center platform with a suite of automated trading tools, bundling strategy backtesting, live execution, contract grid trading automation, and copy-trader functionality into a single hub on the derivatives exchange.

The upgrade consolidates capabilities that traders on competing platforms typically access across separate interfaces. Grid trading automation lets traders set buy and sell orders at predefined price intervals without manual intervention, a feature now standard at larger venues like Binance Futures, Bybit, and OKX. Zoomex is positioning the Strategy Center as its answer to that arms race, keeping everything under one roof.

Zoomex, official statement

The backtesting component is the most operationally significant addition. Before committing capital, traders can run a strategy against historical price data to stress-test its logic, a step that separates disciplined systematic trading from guesswork. Pairing that directly with live execution removes the friction of exporting results and rebuilding logic on a separate platform.

Copy-trader functionality rounds out the package. The feature allows users to mirror the positions of experienced traders in real time, lowering the barrier for retail participants who want exposure to systematic strategies without building them from scratch. Platforms that have deployed similar tools, including Bybit's copy trading product launched in 2022, have used the feature to drive retail user acquisition and increase platform-level trading volume.

Zoomex frames the build-out around a philosophy of "simplicity × ease of use × speed," language that signals the platform is targeting traders who want institutional-grade tooling without a steep configuration curve. Whether the execution matches that framing depends on details the announcement does not provide: fee structures, API depth, risk controls on automated strategies, and whether the full feature set is available to all account tiers or gated behind premium access.

The derivatives exchange space has consolidated significantly over the past two years, with smaller venues fighting for share against Binance and OKX by differentiating on tooling rather than liquidity. Zoomex has no disclosed trading volume figures in today's announcement, which makes it difficult to assess how much of its user base will actually engage with the Strategy Center upgrades. Adoption numbers and any volume data attributed to automated strategies would be the clearest signal of whether the platform is gaining traction with systematic traders or simply checking a feature parity box.
