The Blockchain Group has significantly reinforced its commitment to Bitcoin, acquiring an additional 182 BTC for approximately $18.2 million. This strategic purchase raises the company’s total bitcoin treasury to 1,653 BTC, currently valued at around $159.4 million. The average acquisition price was $99,890 per bitcoin.

This move is part of a broader corporate strategy that has seen exceptional returns throughout 2025. Year-to-date, the company boasts a BTC yield of 1,173.2%, equating to a gain of 469.3 BTC and $46.8 million in value. On a quarter-to-date basis, the firm achieved a 57.2% yield, adding 354.8 BTC and $35.4 million.

To finance the expansion, The Blockchain Group utilized a diversified funding model. On May 26, it secured $3.2 million from UTXO Management through a convertible bond issuance, acquiring 31 BTC. Moonlight Capital followed with $4.9 million for 48 BTC. Additional funding included $2.6 million from Ludovic Chechin-Laurans (25 BTC) and $6.5 million from TOBAM (62 BTC) on June 12. A further $1.7 million came from the conversion of BSA 2025-01 warrants, enabling the purchase of 16 BTC.

Banque Delubac & Cie and Swissquote Bank Europe SA executed the transactions, with Swiss custody specialist Taurus overseeing digital asset storage. The company’s share structure includes 126.7 million outstanding shares, with a fully diluted total of 316.2 million. Major shareholders include Fulgur Ventures (46.14%), Adam Back (10.81%), and TOBAM (3.32%).

Looking ahead, The Blockchain Group expects to acquire around 70 more BTC through pending deals and further capital raises, which would raise its holdings to an estimated 1,723 BTC. This initiative aligns with the firm’s ongoing “ATM-type” capital increase program in partnership with TOBAM, which recently added $7.7 million in funding.

The strategy aims to continuously grow the company’s bitcoin per-share value, positioning it firmly as a Bitcoin Treasury Company—an approach increasingly embraced by institutional investors seeking long-term exposure to digital assets.
