$1 per share per day in November. That is what Strategy is dangling in front of STRC shareholders, provided they vote the right way on October 28.

The Bitcoin treasury company announced conditional daily dividends on its STRC preferred stock this week, tying the November payout directly to shareholder approval of a proposal that would amend the stock's dividend frequency to a daily structure. If the vote passes and takes effect in time, shareholders collect $1 per share each day throughout November. If it fails, the conditional declaration is void.

The timing is deliberate. The announcement lands 12 days before the vote, close enough to register as an immediate financial incentive rather than a distant promise. STRC has been trading below its $100 par value, a signal that the market is not fully convinced the current structure justifies full par pricing. Management is, in effect, making the case that daily dividends change that calculus. Whether shareholders read it as a compelling argument or a pressure tactic depends on their appetite for the underlying risk.

Daily dividend structures are uncommon in traditional equity markets and nearly unheard of in the Bitcoin treasury space. Most preferred stock pays quarterly or monthly. Strategy's proposal would push STRC to the extreme end of distribution frequency, which creates both appeal and operational complexity. Each daily payment must be funded, and that funding ultimately traces back to Strategy's Bitcoin holdings and its ability to generate or raise capital against them.

The conditional framing is a calculated governance move. By declaring the dividend before the vote rather than after, Strategy aligns shareholder financial interest with a specific outcome. Critics of this approach argue it blurs the line between informing shareholders and steering them, since the announcement creates a direct monetary consequence tied to a yes vote. Proponents would counter that transparency about intended post-vote actions is exactly what good corporate communication looks like. Both readings have merit.

For Bitcoin treasury companies broadly, this is a notable structural experiment. Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, pioneered the model of using corporate balance sheets as Bitcoin accumulation vehicles. Its capital markets innovations, including convertible notes and preferred stock issuances, have since been studied and replicated by smaller treasury firms. A move to daily preferred dividends, if it clears the October 28 vote and proves operationally sustainable, could set another template for the sector.

STRC remaining below par is the data point that cuts against the optimistic narrative. Par value represents the floor at which the stock is theoretically redeemable or valued for dividend calculation purposes. Trading below that level reflects market doubt, whether about Strategy's Bitcoin-backed balance sheet, the sustainability of the proposed payout, or both. The October 28 vote will clarify shareholder sentiment. The market price will clarify everything else.
