Strategic Communications Go Crypto: C Street Launches Dedicated Digital Assets Practice
C Street launches a new crypto communications arm, signaling a deeper commitment to the digital asset space.
In a move reflecting the maturing intersection of finance and digital innovation, C Street Advisory Group has launched a specialized Digital Assets and Crypto Communications Practice. The announcement came during the 2025 Bitcoin Conference in Las Vegas, the largest gathering of its kind, underscoring the rising influence of crypto within mainstream economic conversations.
C Street, renowned for its strategic communications and crisis management expertise, is positioning itself as a critical player in navigating the reputational and regulatory complexities of blockchain technology. Led by Senior Managing Director Jackie Rubin, the new unit aims to serve stakeholders across decentralized finance, exchanges, and litigation landscapes.
“Crypto is no longer a niche, it’s mainstream, institutional, and a critical part of the global economic infrastructure,” said Jon Henes, Founder and CEO of C Street. His remarks reflect a shift in tone from speculative fringe to structural significance, especially as traditional financial institutions explore stablecoin implementations and legislative frameworks like the GENIUS Act advance in Congress.
Jackie Rubin, widely recognized as one of the industry's most trusted voices, brings a unique blend of legal fluency and communication strategy. Her tenure includes work with prominent names during pivotal industry events—from unicorn valuations to insolvency proceedings. Rubin emphasized the value of transparent messaging amid accelerating innovation and intensifying scrutiny. “Crypto moves fast, but trust is built over time, and with transparency,” she noted. “Communications must be both agile and anchored in credibility.”
The new practice draws on C Street’s cross-disciplinary strengths in restructuring, litigation, and financial transformation, offering bespoke counsel to a range of crypto actors. From exchanges and token issuers to creditor committees and boardrooms, the group provides tailored narratives that balance technical accuracy with public resonance.
Past mandates highlight the firm’s influence in the sector, including engagements with Celsius, BlockFi, and the Genesis Litigation Oversight Committee. These high-profile cases demanded not only legal sophistication but narrative control amid public scrutiny.
President Michael Frishberg framed the move as a logical evolution. “Thanks to our strong relationships in Washington and Wall Street, and our unmatched experience in high-stakes communications, C Street is uniquely positioned to help digital asset clients protect value, preserve trust, and lead through change.”
As regulatory landscapes shift and digital finance continues to redefine capital markets, C Street’s new practice signals more than a service expansion—it reflects an institutional acknowledgment that crypto is here to stay, and its messaging now demands the same rigor as its financial underpinnings.
