Sonic Integrates with Kaito to Incentivize Quality X Engagement Around $S
Sonic partners with Kaito to reward meaningful posts about its ecosystem on X, revolutionizing airdrop engagement models.
In a significant evolution of crypto community engagement, Sonic has partnered with Web3 data platform Kaito to launch a novel incentive mechanism that rewards users for contributing to meaningful discourse around the $S token on X (formerly Twitter).
Timed with the launch of Sonic's Season 2 airdrop, the initiative shifts the focus from traditional DeFi activity to rewarding social participation. Starting retroactively from June 18, 2025, users who post insightful, educational, or constructive content about Sonic's ecosystem will earn Yap points—a metric that now factors into their airdrop eligibility.
The collaboration aims to turn off-chain influence into on-chain value. Leveraging Kaito’s Yapper Leaderboard, Sonic can track and evaluate X engagements based on relevance and quality rather than vanity metrics like impressions or likes. The approach incentivizes posts that educate, promote dialogue, and enhance awareness of Sonic’s ecosystem, features, and roadmap.
"With Kaito Yaps, we’re giving real weight to the people pushing Sonic forward on social media through insights, research, and quality content that drives awareness," said Sonic Labs CEO Michael Kong. "If you’re shaping the narrative, it’s only fair that you should share in the upside."
Yu Hu, CEO of Kaito, praised Sonic’s bold adoption of the Yapper Leaderboard, highlighting how it reinforces the project's community-first ethos and positions it as a pioneer in social engagement metrics for airdrops.
The new model provides a smoother and more inclusive path to participation compared to conventional airdrops, which often required users to interact with dApps, stake tokens, or provide liquidity. Now, enthusiasts can earn rewards simply by contributing substantive content, such as product reviews, DeFi analysis, or educational threads about Sonic’s progress and strategy—particularly its evolution following the Fantom rebrand.
This innovative approach not only expands access to airdrop opportunities but also cultivates a more informed and involved user base. U.S. participants, often left out due to regulatory ambiguity, are also included via a dedicated giveaway.
As of writing, $S trades at $0.3057, up 2% in the past 24 hours, with momentum likely to increase as user-driven narratives gain traction.
By merging real-time social engagement with tokenized incentives, Sonic is redefining how value is created and shared in Web3 communities.
