Samsung and Coinbase Join Forces to Bring Crypto to Millions of Galaxy Users
Samsung Wallet now integrates Coinbase One, giving 75M Galaxy users direct access to crypto services in the U.S.
Samsung has taken another decisive step into the digital asset ecosystem. The tech giant announced a partnership with Coinbase that allows Galaxy smartphone users in the United States to access theCoinbase Onemembership program directly from the Samsung Wallet app — a move that signals the growing convergence of mobile technology and cryptocurrency finance.
The collaboration, revealed on October 3, 2025, enables Samsung Wallet users to explore crypto-related services without leaving the app. Coinbase One offers members zero trading fees, enhanced staking rewards, priority customer support, exclusive partner benefits, and even lost fund restoration in cases of unauthorized access. By integrating this membership into Samsung Wallet, both companies aim to simplify how everyday users interact with digital currencies.
More than 75 million Americans currently own Samsung Galaxy smartphones, making the potential reach of this integration substantial. “Coinbase is a leader in the industry, which made them the ideal partner to provide our users with seamless access to crypto,” said Drew Blackard, Senior Vice President of Mobile Product Management at Samsung Electronics America. He emphasized that Samsung Wallet continues to evolve as a multifunctional platform, expanding beyond payments and digital IDs into crypto access and financial innovation.
Shan Aggarwal, Chief Business Officer at Coinbase, echoed the sentiment, noting that the partnership combines Samsung’s global reach with Coinbase’s secure and user-friendly platform. “Together with Samsung, we’re pairing their global scale with Coinbase’s trusted platform to deliver the best value for people to access crypto — starting with more than 75 million Galaxy users across the U.S., and soon around the world,” he said.
The integration follows Coinbase’s earlier rollout of a Samsung Pay feature that lets users purchase cryptocurrency directly through the app, further streamlining the transaction process. According to Coinbase, the feature allows “eligible users to move from interest to action — without needing to switch apps or re-enter payment information.”
Samsung’s growing ecosystem of digital services reflects a broader trend among technology firms seeking to expand their footprint in fintech. In July, Samsung also announced a collaboration with Splitit, introducing an installment payment feature for Samsung Wallet that allows users to pay over time using their existing credit.
By embedding crypto access into one of the world’s most widely used mobile wallets, Samsung and Coinbase are lowering barriers to digital asset adoption. The move underscores how mobile innovation continues to shape the future of personal finance — bridging the gap between traditional payments and decentralized finance.
