Ripple’s RLUSD Stablecoin Gains Global Reach Through Alchemy Pay Integration
Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin is now accessible in 173 countries via Alchemy Pay, expanding global adoption with 300+ local payment options.
Ripple's regulated stablecoin RLUSD has taken a major step toward global accessibility thanks to a strategic integration with Alchemy Pay. The partnership now enables users in 173 countries to purchase RLUSD using over 300 local payment methods, including Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, and a range of regional mobile wallets and bank transfers.
Issued by Ripple’s subsidiary, Standard Custody & Trust Company, RLUSD is fully backed 1:1 by U.S. dollars and equivalent cash reserves. It aims to offer a secure, compliant, and reliable digital dollar solution, reinforcing Ripple's longstanding commitment to regulatory clarity and institutional-grade financial products.
The integration with Alchemy Pay removes key barriers to stablecoin accessibility. Known for its robust fiat-to-crypto infrastructure, Alchemy Pay has become a critical player in expanding the reach of digital currencies. In 2024 alone, the firm processed over 8 million transactions and added 3 million users globally, underscoring its rapid growth and relevance in the payment space.
By embedding RLUSD into its ecosystem, Alchemy Pay extends Ripple’s blockchain infrastructure to a global user base. The move is part of Ripple’s larger strategy to bridge traditional financial systems with blockchain-based payment networks. It also positions RLUSD as a strong alternative to other leading stablecoins like USDT and USDC, particularly in cross-border and enterprise-grade applications.
Alchemy Pay's regulatory approvals in major jurisdictions including the U.S., U.K., Canada, and South Korea further legitimize the partnership. With RLUSD now integrated, the firm is well-positioned to facilitate secure, low-friction digital asset adoption worldwide.
The expansion of RLUSD availability marks a pivotal milestone in Ripple’s stablecoin ambitions, offering a compliant and scalable solution at a time when demand for regulated digital dollars is on the rise. As global institutions seek reliable blockchain alternatives, this partnership may pave the way for wider enterprise adoption of tokenized fiat.
