Yellow Network, a blockchain initiative backed by Ripple co-founder Chris Larsen, has announced its integration with the XRPL EVM Sidechain, a move aimed at revolutionizing the trading of real-world assets (RWAs) across decentralized ecosystems. The collaboration, unveiled Monday, will allow Yellow Network’s proprietarylayer-3clearing protocol, Yellow Clearnet, to leverage the XRP Ledger’s Ethereum-compatible infrastructure for faster settlements, broader interoperability, and enhanced liquidity.

The XRPL EVM Sidechain — developed by blockchain firm Peersyst — connects the XRP Ledger to Ethereum’s ecosystem, enabling applications built for the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to run natively on XRP’s network. This compatibility opens XRP to interaction with more than 80 blockchains, giving developers and enterprises access to a unified liquidity pool without leaving the XRPL environment.

For Yellow Network, this partnership represents a key milestone in its mission to bridge fragmented liquidity across digital and traditional asset markets. The company’s Yellow Clearnet technology enables off-chain, non-custodial trading between exchanges and brokerages using state channels — private transaction routes that process trades instantly and only settle the final results on-chain. The result is lower fees, faster execution, and greater scalability for institutional-grade trading.

“This is an incredibly exciting development for both Yellow Network and the XRPL EVM Sidechain,” said Louis Bellet, co-founder of Yellow Network. “The XRPL’s EVM-compatible rails are foundational to the next era of real-world asset tokenization, and Clearnet provides the infrastructure to make those assets truly liquid and tradable.”

By integrating with XRPL, Yellow Network enhances its capacity to tokenize and exchange assets such as real estate, commodities, and financial instruments on a cross-chain basis. The partnership aims to deliver near-instant settlement while maintaining full transparency and traceability — key elements for regulated institutions exploring blockchain-based asset management.

The integration also strengthens the utility of XRP within this ecosystem. As the native gas token powering the XRPL and its EVM Sidechain, XRP now serves as a bridge currency for transactions involving Ethereum-compatible decentralized applications (dApps). This interoperability not only expands XRP’s use cases but also deepens its position within multi-chain liquidity frameworks.

Founded in 2018, Yellow Network seeks to solve one of crypto’s most persistent challenges: liquidity fragmentation. Backed by a $10 million seed round led by Larsen in 2024, the firm has already integrated with Ethereum, Polygon, and Binance Smart Chain. Following the XRPL rollout, the company plans to extend support to Solana, Bitcoin, and Polkadot, further solidifying its role as a hub for multi-chain asset settlement.

As tokenized real-world assets become a cornerstone of digital finance, Yellow Network’s XRPL collaboration underscores a broader industry trend — the convergence of traditional markets and decentralized finance through interoperable blockchain infrastructures.
