Request Network Launches One-Click Cross-Chain Mass Payouts With Merkle Science
Request Network Foundation unveiled one-click cross-chain mass payouts functionality, allowing users to execute bulk payments across Ethereum Virtual Machine chains and Tron from a single interface. The feature includes expanded wallet screening capabilities powered by integration with compliance firm Merkle Science, giving users choice among multiple screening providers.
The announcement marks the second major capability expansion in three weeks for Request Network's payment infrastructure. The platform now handles mass payout execution across fragmented blockchain networks without requiring users to bridge funds manually or manage separate transactions on each chain. Tron support is particularly significant given the network's dominance in stablecoin transfers and remittance use cases, where bulk payments are common.
"Anyone can now execute mass payouts across EVM chains and Tron from a single platform and choose between multiple wallet screening providers along the way," the Request Network Foundation stated. The ability to select among screening providers addresses a key friction point for enterprise users and regulated entities that need flexible compliance workflows. Merkle Science's integration allows users to screen recipient wallets against sanctions lists, known bad actors, and other risk factors before executing payouts.
The wallet screening expansion reflects broader industry movement toward embedded compliance infrastructure. Rather than treating risk management as a separate step, Request Network is integrating screening directly into the payout workflow. This reduces operational overhead for payment processors and treasury managers navigating increasingly complex regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Cross-chain mass payouts solve a specific pain point in crypto payment infrastructure. Payroll processors, DAO treasuries, and platforms making bulk distributions have historically faced friction when recipients hold assets across different blockchains. Manual bridging, slippage on swaps, and tracking multiple transactions created operational overhead. Request Network's one-click approach consolidates this into a single transaction that settles across chains simultaneously.
The rapid pace of feature releases raises questions about platform stability and testing depth. Enterprise users typically demand extensive testing before integrating payment infrastructure into production systems, so Request Network will need to demonstrate reliability as adoption scales.
Tron integration also introduces regulatory considerations. Different jurisdictions treat Tron differently from Ethereum and other EVM chains, with some regulators viewing it with additional scrutiny. Payment platforms accepting Tron must navigate these nuances carefully, particularly for cross-border payouts where multiple jurisdictions apply.
For the broader payment infrastructure space, Request Network's expansion signals that cross-chain interoperability is becoming table stakes rather than a differentiator. As more platforms add multi-chain support and compliance tooling, competition will likely shift toward execution speed, cost, and user experience rather than feature availability. The integration of third-party screening providers also suggests that specialized compliance companies like Merkle Science are becoming critical infrastructure layers in the crypto economy.
