The Solana-based launchpad Pump.fun has made a decisive move to expand its footprint in decentralized trading, announcing the acquisition of PadreApp, a fast-growing multi-chain trading terminal. The deal triggered an immediate market reaction, propelling the platform’s native token PUMP up more than 11% within hours of the announcement.

PadreApp, known for its high-speed execution and analytics-driven interface, supports trading across multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, Solana, Base, and BNB Chain. By integrating Padre’s advanced trading technology, Pump.fun aims to transform itself from a simple token launchpad into a full-fledged multi-chain trading ecosystem.

In an official statement, the Pump.fun team praised PadreApp’s development record: “The Padre team are exceptional builders who have been building in crypto for multiple cycles and have always put users first. With our resources and position as the most dominant and innovative launchpad, Padre will be able to unlock more edge for traders than any competitor.”

The acquisition marks a strategic step for Pump.fun, which has been competing to attract retail and professional traders seeking speed, transparency, and interoperability. PadreApp’s reputation for low fees, real-time analytics, and cashback incentives makes it a valuable addition to the Pump.fun ecosystem.

According to the announcement, PadreApp will continue to operate independently, maintaining its existing features and cross-chain functionality. Traders will still be able to buy and sell assets across decentralized exchanges and launchpads on major blockchains. However, under Pump.fun’s ownership, the app will introduce several improvements — including faster data processing, enhanced user experience, and new trading rewards for tokens launched through Pump.fun.

One of the more notable changes will be the discontinuation of the PADRE token, which will lose its utility following the integration. The team emphasized that this step is part of streamlining the ecosystem and aligning all incentives around the PUMP token, which now stands at the center of Pump.fun’s growth strategy.

Following the news, PUMP surged from $0.003757 to an intraday high of $0.004179, before consolidating near $0.004016. Despite the strong rally, trading volume fell 13% in 24 hours — a sign that some traders may be locking in short-term profits. Technical indicators also suggest possible consolidation, as the hourly MACD shows declining momentum and the RSI points to mild overbought conditions.

Still, the acquisition arrives at a favorable moment for the broader market, buoyed by renewed optimism following recent macro and regulatory developments. For Pump.fun, this deal represents more than expansion — it is a statement of intent to build a competitive, user-centric, multi-chain trading hub capable of scaling across the rapidly evolving DeFi landscape.
