PUMP Token Sells Out in 12 Minutes, Raising $600M for Pump.fun Ecosystem
Pump.fun’s PUMP token raises $600M in 12 minutes, highlighting massive demand ahead of token unlock and exchange listings.
In a stunning display of market enthusiasm, Pump.fun’s public sale for its PUMP token concluded just 12 minutes after opening, raising $600 million through the sale of 150 billion tokens at $0.004 each. The token event, which launched on July 12 at 14:00 UTC, drew overwhelming demand despite notable geographic restrictions.
Buyers from the United States and United Kingdom were excluded from participation due to regulatory constraints. Even so, the token sale quickly sold out across launchpads and exchanges like Bitget and KuCoin. According to Pump.fun’s announcement on X, the offering met its full capacity far ahead of the official July 15 closing date.
This public round represented 15% of the total 1 trillion-token supply, with the rest allocated to private investors, ecosystem development, liquidity provisioning, and the project’s core team. The strong interest drove the fully diluted valuation (FDV) of PUMP to $4 billion.
While trading has yet to begin, token unlocks for participants are expected within 48 to 72 hours. Platforms involved in the sale have released claiming instructions, and live exchange listings are anticipated shortly after distribution concludes—though no specific dates have been confirmed.
The rapid sellout underscores growing demand for crypto assets tied to meme and community-driven platforms. Notably, PUMP futures markets priced the token above its $0.004 sale price prior to the event, signaling speculative confidence.
Pump.fun, launched in early 2024, became a standout in Solana’s memecoin scene by enabling users to mint tokens without coding knowledge. It gained rapid traction during Solana’s memecoin boom but has since faced growing competition from newer platforms like LetsBONK. Despite losing its dominance in daily launches, Pump.fun remains influential within the ecosystem.
This fundraising milestone may reinvigorate the project’s standing and provide resources for expanded development. With $600 million raised in under a quarter of an hour, the event also highlights the speculative momentum fueling the memecoin segment of the Solana blockchain.
