In a bold strategic shift, Know Labs, Inc. (NYSE American: KNW) has announced its adoption of a Bitcoin treasury strategy, securing 1,000 BTC and appointing Ripple Chief Risk Officer Greg Kidd as its new CEO and Chairman of the Board. This move not only underscores the growing institutional acceptance of Bitcoin but also positions Know Labs at the forefront of corporate crypto adoption.

The agreement, brokered with Goldeneye 1995 LLC, involves the acquisition of a controlling interest in Know Labs through a combination of Bitcoin and cash, enabling the repayment of company debt and redemption of preferred equity. Each share in the deal is valued at $0.335. Founder Ron Erickson will assume the role of Vice Chairman as Kidd takes the helm.

“The decision to integrate a Bitcoin treasury strategy comes at a pivotal time,” stated Greg Kidd. “Market conditions and regulatory signals are aligned for long-term crypto-based financial growth. We believe this strategy will add sustainable value for our shareholders.”

Bitcoin will become the primary asset on Know Labs' balance sheet, representing approximately 82% of its total market capitalization at the deal's close. With a Bitcoin price of $105,000 and a market cap of $128 million, this translates to an mNAV multiple of 1.22x, offering investors a new metric to evaluate the company's valuation.

This shift doesn't signal a departure from Know Labs’ core mission. Erickson emphasized that the company remains committed to advancing its research in non-invasive medical technology. “Partnering with Greg Kidd marks a pivotal next chapter for Know Labs,” he said, expressing confidence in the vision and leadership Kidd brings.

The adoption of Bitcoin by Know Labs mirrors a global trend. The number of entities holding Bitcoin on their balance sheets has surged, with 225 companies now following similar treasury strategies. This includes Norwegian Block Exchange (NBX), which recently became the first publicly traded firm in Norway to hold Bitcoin, reaffirming a worldwide corporate movement toward BTC-backed assets.

As Bitcoin becomes increasingly integrated into corporate finance, Know Labs’ announcement reinforces the asset’s status as a viable store of value and strategic reserve. The company's dual focus on innovative tech and digital assets may offer a blueprint for future-forward business models navigating the evolving intersection of technology and finance.
