Cronos has unveiled a strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) designed to accelerate institutional adoption of blockchain-based tokenization and real-world assets (RWAs). The collaboration will provide developers and enterprises with access to Cronos blockchain data through AWS Public Blockchain Data, enabling secure, scalable workflows for financial innovation.

The initiative marks a significant milestone in the evolution of blockchain tokenization. Institutions and developers will not only gain streamlined access to on-chain data but also benefit from AWS’s infrastructure, which is known for its high standards of compliance and security. Selected developers will qualify for up to $100,000 in AWS cloud credits, supporting projects across tokenization platforms, decentralized finance protocols, and AI-driven applications.

AWS emphasized that the partnership combines its compliance frameworks with Cronos’s blockchain capabilities, allowing both startups and established institutions to build solutions that meet rigorous regulatory requirements. The collaboration aims to open the door for enterprises seeking to leverage distributed ledger technology while maintaining operational resilience and security.

For Cronos, the alliance aligns with its recently announced 2025–2026 roadmap, which centers on positioning the network as a leading platform for tokenized finance. The strategy includes the development of a purpose-built tokenization platform capable of supporting equities, commodities, insurance products, real estate, and other RWAs. At the same time, the roadmap envisions expanding decentralized finance services to over 150 million users through its distribution via Crypto.com.

The plan also underscores growing institutional demand for Cronos’s native token, CRO, fueled by potential ETF listings and treasury integrations. According to the latest figures, network upgrades have already been implemented, reducing block times to 0.5 seconds and gas fees by a factor of ten. These improvements have resulted in a 400% increase in daily transactions, demonstrating the scalability of the platform.

Looking ahead, Cronos aims to reach $10 billion in tokenized assets and grow its user base to 20 million across both centralized and decentralized platforms by next year. Mirko Zhao, Head of Cronos Labs, highlighted the ecosystem’s unique positioning, pointing to its integration with Crypto.com’s distribution channels, its liquidity anchored in CRO, and its roadmap connecting tokenization with artificial intelligence. He stressed that building on AWS strengthens this foundation, offering institutions a secure and scalable pathway to bridge traditional finance with decentralized solutions.

This partnership reflects a broader industry trend in which blockchain networks are increasingly aligning with established cloud providers to accelerate enterprise adoption. With its combination of rapid technical upgrades, strong institutional focus, and integration with AWS, Cronos appears determined to place itself at the center of the tokenization race.
