COTI Joins Tokenized Asset Coalition to Help Bring $1 Trillion in Real-World Assets On-Chain
COTI joins the Tokenized Asset Coalition to advance tokenization of $1 trillion in real-world assets on blockchains.
COTI, the Ethereum-based privacy protocol, has joined the Tokenized Asset Coalition (TAC) in a coordinated industry effort to bring $1 trillion worth of real-world assets (RWAs) onto public blockchains. The move underscores the growing momentum behind asset tokenization and the increasing role of privacy-enhancing technologies in bridging traditional finance with decentralized ecosystems.
COTI is among 24 newly inducted members into TAC, a group that includes industry heavyweights such as Coinbase, Circle, Arbitrum, Polygon, Stellar, Fireblocks, Fidelity, and ZkSync. The coalition, launched to foster the adoption of tokenized real-world assets like real estate, commodities, and bonds, focuses on advocacy, education, and technological standards to accelerate institutional adoption.
TAC announced the membership expansion on July 31 via X, praising the new cohort as some of the best projects and builders in the blockchain space. COTI was singled out for its unique "Privacy-on-Demand" technology, which utilizes advanced cryptographic tools like garbled circuits to ensure transactional confidentiality while maintaining the auditability required by regulators.
“COTI brings a unique perspective to the TAC, based on our deep insight into compliant confidentiality, auditability, and ways to bridge the gap between TradFi and Web3 technologies,” TAC noted in the announcement.
With institutional adoption of blockchain technology still hindered by privacy and compliance concerns, COTI’s contribution is particularly relevant. Its solutions aim to enable secure, transparent financial transactions that do not compromise user confidentiality—an essential feature for banks, asset managers, and governments looking to engage with tokenized instruments.
COTI’s involvement with TAC builds on a series of recent global initiatives. The firm previously partnered with the European Central Bank to develop a proof-of-concept for a central bank digital currency (CBDC), joined the Africa Tokenization Council, and entered a memorandum of understanding with Aureus.Money to embed its privacy tech into Hedera-powered RWA platforms.
The Tokenized Asset Coalition represents a major step toward merging decentralized infrastructure with real-world financial systems. COTI’s participation signals that privacy-preserving innovation will be key to scaling tokenization efforts responsibly and compliantly.
