Circle, the issuer of USD Coin (USDC), has announced a strategic partnership with Hyperliquid, signaling a deeper integration of stablecoins into one of the fastest-growing blockchain ecosystems. The collaboration will see the deployment of native USDC and the Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol V2 (CCTP V2) on Hyperliquid’s HyperEVM, marking a milestone in the expansion of stablecoin liquidity across Web3.

The announcement underscores Circle’s ongoing effort to ensure USDC remains at the center of digital finance. With more than $1 trillion in USDC minted since inception, Circle is positioning its stablecoin as a core settlement asset for developers, traders, and institutions seeking reliable access to on-chain liquidity. For Hyperliquid, the deal enhances its capabilities with robust reserves and technical tools that aim to empower developers and strengthen user adoption.

Jeremy Allaire, co-founder and CEO of Circle, described the integration as a “major milestone” for both firms. “By launching native USDC and CCTP V2 on HyperEVM, we are aligning Circle’s technical achievements with Hyperliquid’s rapidly growing user base,” he said.

The partnership extends beyond integration. Circle is investing directly in HYPE, Hyperliquid’s native token, becoming a long-term stakeholder in the ecosystem. The company has also suggested it may serve as a validator in the future, highlighting its commitment to the network’s governance and stability. For Hyperliquid, this level of institutional involvement adds credibility and resources that could accelerate the chain’s growth.

The timing of the collaboration is particularly significant. Hyperliquid has recently gained attention for its proposed USDH stablecoin and new governance structures. However, its alignment with Circle’s USDC suggests a pragmatic approach: combining the blockchain’s innovative governance model with the liquidity and trust that USDC already commands.

By bringing CCTP V2 to HyperEVM, developers gain new interoperability tools, enabling seamless movement of USDC across chains. This opens the door to more efficient DeFi applications, cross-chain trading, and enhanced liquidity pools. Circle, in turn, secures stronger footholds in emerging ecosystems while reinforcing its position as the world’s second-largest stablecoin issuer.

Beyond technology, the partnership also reflects Circle’s broader strategy of embedding itself within diverse blockchain communities. By aligning with Hyperliquid, Circle is not only deepening USDC adoption but also ensuring it remains relevant as the Web3 landscape evolves.

For Hyperliquid’s user base, the benefits are immediate: access to Circle’s vast reserves and liquidity, paired with the technical reliability of a globally recognized stablecoin. For Circle, the collaboration represents both an expansion of influence and a bet on the future of interoperable, developer-friendly blockchains.
