Chainlink Launches 24/7 Pricing for Tokenized Assets, With Aave First

Chainlink is rolling out 24/7 pricing for tokenized stocks, commodities and other traditional assets, blending extended-hours data with perpetual futures quotes when markets close. Aave will use the feeds on Horizon, starting with heavily traded US stocks.

Wall Street closes on Friday evening, but the blockchains holding tokenized stocks never do, and Chainlink now wants to fill that silence. The oracle provider is rolling out Chainlink 24/7, a service that keeps pricing stocks, commodities and other traditional assets through weekends and holidays, with decentralized lender Aave signed on as its launch partner. The rollout was announced Oct. 28.

According to Chainlink's announcement, the service combines prices from regular and extended trading sessions with quotes from perpetual futures venues when traditional markets are shut. Perpetual futures are derivatives with no expiry date that trade around the clock, which makes them a natural, if imperfect, stand-in for a price while the stock exchange is dark. Chainlink says it aggregates quotes from multiple such venues, filters out stale inputs and limits the influence of outliers.

Data reaches applications through two products. Data Feeds deliver prices onchain and suit lending protocols, while Data Streams offer faster updates for trading platforms and prediction markets.

Aave will use the feeds on Horizon, its institutional lending platform where qualified investors borrow against tokenized assets. The first collateral will be tokenized, heavily traded US stocks. Until now, according to Chainlink, applications have had to pause markets, rely on the last available price, or build their own systems to value assets during closures.

The launch extends earlier work. Chainlink introduced 24/5 pricing for US stocks and ETFs in January 2026, covering pre-market, regular, post-market and overnight sessions, and its weekday infrastructure now covers more than $1.6 billion in tokenized stocks across six blockchain networks. Ondo, xStocks, Robinhood and Coinbase are among the names working with Chainlink on tokenized stock pricing. Aave had already adopted pieces of Chainlink infrastructure, including its 24/5 streams.

What the weekend price actually represents

The caveat matters. The off-hours reference reflects derivatives trading, not transactions on closed traditional exchanges. A weekend price is therefore an inference drawn from a different market, and how closely futures quotes track Monday's actual open will shape how much protocols trust it. Whether Horizon expands beyond its initial set of high-volume US equities is also an open question.

Seen that way, the design is a compromise with the underlying mismatch rather than an end to it: continuous onchain markets meet discontinuous traditional ones, and the oracle has to bridge the gap with the best signal available. The launch follows a busy stretch for the oracle provider, which recently announced a partnership with LG CNS on Korean won stablecoins, and it pushes Chainlink further into pricing tokenized assets that users expect to trade at any hour.
