Bybit EU Unveils First MiCA-Compliant Launchpool in Partnership with XION
Bybit EU launches its first MiCA-compliant Launchpool with XION, offering high-yield staking options for EEA users under strict regulations.
Bybit EU has marked a regulatory milestone with the launch of its first MiCA-compliant Launchpool, developed in partnership with blockchain project XION. The initiative underscores the exchange’s commitment to expanding its footprint in the European Economic Area (EEA) under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework.
The new Launchpool, unveiled on August 14, offers European users the opportunity to stake XION tokens, Mantle (MNT), and USDC stablecoin in return for substantial rewards. The pool totals 100,000 XION, valued at approximately $110,000. XION stakes will yield an annual percentage rate (APR) of 60%, Mantle offers 36%, and USDC delivers 24%. These returns reflect the varying risk profiles of each asset, with token prices potentially fluctuating during the lock-up period.
Anthony Anzalone, Founder of XION, framed the partnership as a step towards safe and accessible blockchain engagement. “Europe is now the proving ground for regulated digital assets, and together with Bybit EU we’re setting a precedent for how mainstream audiences can discover and engage with blockchain technology in a safe, intuitive way,” he said.
Bybit EU’s move comes just weeks after the platform secured its MiCAR license in Austria. This regulatory approval, effective July 1, positions Bybit to roll out compliant crypto services tailored to the European market. CEO Mazurka Zeng emphasized that this latest collaboration illustrates how regulation can act as a catalyst rather than a constraint. “Today’s launch with XION demonstrates how regulation can accelerate rather than hinder innovation, and perfectly aligns with our European expansion strategy,” she noted.
The Launchpool debut reflects a broader shift among crypto exchanges adapting to Europe’s evolving legal environment. MiCA, which provides comprehensive guidelines for crypto-asset issuance and trading, has become a cornerstone for industry players seeking credibility and growth in the region.
For Bybit, this Launchpool is more than a promotional offering; it represents a test case for integrating high-yield opportunities within a fully compliant framework. As European regulations continue to mature, initiatives like this could set the standard for how exchanges balance investor incentives with robust consumer protections.
