BNB, the native token of Binance, has shattered records with a surge past $1,087, achieving a new all-time high and cementing its position among the most valuable digital assets. The rally marks a remarkable comeback from June’s lows and underscores the growing influence of exchange-based tokens in global markets.

As of Sunday, BNB was trading around $1,072, up more than 7% in the last 24 hours and 15% over the week. The token has climbed over 80% since bottoming at $602 in late June, shortly after a golden cross—a technical indicator where the 50-day moving average overtakes the 200-day moving average, often signaling bullish momentum.

The milestone has pushed BNB’s market capitalization to roughly $149.2 billion, eclipsing that of Intel, the U.S. semiconductor giant valued at around $138 billion. This crossover highlights the widening footprint of cryptocurrencies in the global corporate hierarchy, with Binance spotlighting the achievement as proof of digital assets’ increasing relevance.

The surge puts the spotlight on whether BNB can sustain momentum toward the next psychological barrier at $2,000. Traders view the $1,000 threshold as a critical pivot, and surpassing it has fueled speculation of further gains if bullish sentiment continues across the broader crypto market.

Notably, BNB’s performance has outpaced major cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and XRP over the past quarter, suggesting that investors are rewarding tokens tied to functional ecosystems. Beyond its role as Binance’s exchange token, BNB powers transactions and smart contracts on the BNB Chain, reinforcing its utility-driven demand.

Meanwhile, the BNB ecosystem is undergoing changes. The project announced that its BNB Chain Wallet (BEW) browser extension will be fully sunset by October 15, 2025. The extension has already been delisted from Chrome and Firefox stores, and support—including bug fixes and updates—ceased on September 15. Binance has clarified that users’ funds remain secure as long as they have properly backed up seed phrases or private keys, and assets can be migrated to alternative wallets.

While the wallet update does not directly affect BNB’s price dynamics, it highlights the rapid evolution of Binance’s infrastructure. For investors, it serves as a reminder that ecosystem shifts can influence market sentiment, even when token fundamentals remain strong.

Looking ahead, the debate centers on whether BNB can sustain its breakneck pace. Analysts caution that while the rally has been supported by favorable technical indicators and strong investor inflows, any broader market pullback or regulatory headwinds could dampen enthusiasm. Yet, for now, momentum appears firmly on the side of the bulls, and the $2,000 milestone no longer seems far-fetched.

BNB’s climb past Intel’s market capitalization is more than symbolic; it represents the convergence of digital assets and traditional markets. Whether BNB’s next chapter takes it to $2,000 will depend on its ability to balance speculative fervor with real-world adoption across the Binance ecosystem.
