Blockmate Ventures Unveils Bitcoin Mining Arm with 200MW Ambition in Wyoming
Blockmate launches mining division aiming for 200MW capacity in Wyoming, blending Bitcoin strategy with future AI infrastructure.
Blockmate Ventures, a blockchain investment firm, has launched a new Bitcoin mining subsidiary, Blockmate Mining, with a bold objective: to build out 200MW of mining capacity at a strategic site in Wyoming. The announcement marks the company's deepening commitment to long-term Bitcoin infrastructure and positions it within a growing sector of crypto-powered digital infrastructure.
The first phase of the project includes a 10MW launch within the next six to twelve months, followed by a planned expansion to 50MW, contingent upon securing $55 million in funding. the site is projected to produce up to 200 Bitcoins per month when it reaches full 200MW capacity. With energy priced at just 3.3 cents per kilowatt-hour at the Wyoming location, Blockmate expects profit margins to range from 7% to 15% annually.
Blockmate Mining’s site is located adjacent to a 200MW power substation—a strategic advantage for scalable deployment. While specific coordinates were not disclosed, the Wyoming site provides both the electrical capacity and regulatory environment favorable for industrial-scale crypto operations.
CEO Justin Rosenberg described the mining unit as a "natural extension" of Blockmate's broader digital asset infrastructure strategy. “With our Wyoming site secured and investor interest already strong, we’re positioned to build a highly scalable and capital-efficient mining operation,” Rosenberg stated.
Beyond Bitcoin, the company envisions the site as a springboard into AI and high-performance computing (HPC). According to Domenic Carosa, founder and chairman of Blockmate Ventures, the infrastructure is being designed with flexibility in mind: “With rising global demand for compute infrastructure, our Wyoming site offers the flexibility to support both AI and HPC workloads alongside Bitcoin mining.”
Carosa added that the timing aligns with global trends in compute power demand, which could enhance the site's value beyond Bitcoin alone. Blockmate also hinted at plans for a future NASDAQ listing, tying its crypto mining ambitions to broader capital markets access.
The company will need to raise an initial $15 million to commence operations, with further capital requirements as expansion continues. Given the long-term holding strategy for mined BTC, investors will be watching closely to see how the dual focus on crypto and compute infrastructure plays out.
