Bitget Wallet Adds Reality Tokenized US Stocks to RWA Lineup on Arbitrum

Bitget Wallet launched support for Reality's tokenized US stock tokens, known as rTokens, on September 15, 2026, adding another layer to a growing push by crypto wallets to serve as round-the-clock access points for traditional financial assets.

The integration covers rTokens deployed on two blockchains: Arbitrum, the Ethereum Layer-2 network that has become a preferred settlement rail for real-world asset infrastructure, and Morph. Reality is part of the broader Bitget ecosystem, which gives the integration a degree of vertical alignment that distinguishes it from third-party token listings. Bitget Wallet also lists tokenized stock products from Ondo Finance and xStocks alongside Reality's offerings, positioning the wallet as a multi-provider RWA hub rather than a single-issuer storefront.

The move reflects a structural shift in how crypto wallets compete for users. Self-custodial wallets have historically been gateways to on-chain assets: native tokens, DeFi protocols, NFTs. Adding tokenized equities reframes the product entirely. A user holding rTokens representing shares in US-listed companies can manage those positions alongside their crypto portfolio without touching a traditional brokerage and without market hours constraining when they can act. That 24/7 accessibility is the core value proposition that tokenized stock platforms have been building toward, and wallet-level integration is the distribution layer that makes it practical.

Arbitrum's role here is worth examining. As a Layer-2 rollup, it offers significantly lower transaction fees and faster finality than Ethereum mainnet, which matters when the target user base includes retail participants moving smaller position sizes. Several RWA protocols have already chosen Arbitrum as a primary deployment chain for exactly this reason. Ondo Finance, one of the other providers now listed in Bitget Wallet, has been among the more prominent names in this space, having expanded its tokenized Treasury and equity products across multiple chains over the past two years.

One detail warrants scrutiny. The announcement's stated asset count does not match what appears on Bitget's own product pages, a discrepancy that raises straightforward questions about the completeness of the integration at launch. Rollouts of this kind sometimes proceed in stages, but the mismatch between marketing claims and live product availability is a transparency issue that Bitget has not publicly addressed as of publication.

Tokenized securities occupy a contested legal space in most jurisdictions. In the United States, whether rTokens constitute securities subject to SEC registration requirements depends on their specific structure and the rights they confer, a question that remains unsettled for many issuers operating in this space. Self-custodial wallets add further complication: unlike a registered broker-dealer, a non-custodial wallet provider does not hold assets on behalf of users, but the act of listing and facilitating access to tokenized securities could attract regulatory attention depending on how those tokens are classified. Custody and insurance frameworks for tokenized equities in self-custodial environments also remain far less developed than the protections retail investors expect from a conventional brokerage account.

Liquidity is a practical constraint that marketing materials tend to understate. Tokenized stock pairs on-chain carry thinner order books than their native crypto counterparts, and bid-ask spreads can widen materially during periods of low activity. For users accustomed to equity market liquidity during US trading hours, the experience of trading rTokens off-hours may not match expectations.

Major wallet providers including MetaMask and Ledger have each moved to broaden their asset coverage beyond pure crypto in recent years, and Bitget Wallet's RWA expansion follows that pattern. The question is not whether tokenized stocks will find a home in crypto wallets; the infrastructure is clearly being built for that outcome. The question is whether the regulatory, custody, and liquidity foundations will mature fast enough to support the mainstream adoption that integrations like this one are designed to anticipate.
