Bitget Partners with DWF Labs to Boost Liquidity for Trump-Linked USD1 Stablecoin
Bitget partners with DWF Labs to enhance USD1 stablecoin liquidity, a project tied to Trump’s crypto ambitions and U.S. market entry.
Crypto exchange Bitget has partnered with market maker DWF Labs to enhance liquidity for USD1, a Trump-linked stablecoin developed by World Liberty Financial. The strategic alliance aims to stabilize trading conditions for the fast-growing digital asset while positioning Bitget for expansion into the U.S. market.
Announced on June 24, the partnership will see DWF Labs provide institutional-grade liquidity for USD1, while Bitget contributes its trading infrastructure and capital efficiency. The collaboration seeks to address USD1’s most pressing challenge: low liquidity and concentrated holdings, which have hindered its broader adoption despite it becoming the fifth-largest stablecoin just three months after launch.
USD1 is backed by World Liberty Financial, a project associated with the Trump family. Its launch aligns with the former president’s vision of strengthening U.S. dollar dominance through domestic stablecoin issuance. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen sees this partnership as a dual opportunity—supporting a politically resonant digital asset and laying the groundwork for a future U.S. market presence.
"Stablecoins power trading at Bitget. It’s vital we work with partners that bring support to stronger liquidity on the platform," Chen said. "Partnering with DWF Labs helps us ensure our users get consistent, two-way liquidity across market conditions, making institutional trading smoother, cost-efficient and fast."
The move is part of a broader push by Bitget to deepen its role in the stablecoin ecosystem. Last month, the exchange listed Ripple’s RLUSD and introduced a yield-bearing stable asset certificate. The addition of USD1 further diversifies Bitget’s offerings and supports its ambitions for regulatory entry into the U.S. under what Chen described as "friendlier conditions" following Trump’s re-election.
However, the partnership has not been without controversy. DWF Labs has previously faced industry scrutiny for opaque business practices and prior missteps. Its growing ties to World Liberty Financial have also drawn criticism, raising concerns that the collaboration could spark regulatory backlash.
Despite this, the deal underscores a calculated risk by Bitget. By aligning with a politically symbolic stablecoin and leveraging its platform’s liquidity mechanics, the exchange aims to carve a path into the strategically important American market. The firms plan to deploy USD1 across both spot and derivatives markets to cement its utility and long-term growth.
Whether Bitget can navigate the political and reputational complexities of this move remains to be seen. But the USD1 initiative represents a bold step in merging crypto infrastructure with geopolitical narratives—and a potential bridgehead for broader institutional adoption.
