BIT Mining Launches DOLAI, a USD-Backed Stablecoin Bridging AI and Blockchain on Solana
BIT Mining debuts DOLAI, a USD-backed stablecoin on Solana, merging AI payments with institutional-grade compliance.
BIT Mining Limited, a Nasdaq-listed cryptocurrency infrastructure firm, has announced the launch of DOLAI, a USD-backed stablecoin designed to operate natively on Solana’s high-speed blockchain while integrating directly with emerging AI-powered financial systems. The initiative represents the company’s most ambitious step yet into combining blockchain infrastructure with artificial intelligence, positioning DOLAI as both a compliant stablecoin and a settlement currency for the anticipated “agentic economy.”
Developed in partnership with Brale Inc., the new stablecoin is fully collateralized with cash and U.S. Treasuries, ensuring 1:1 dollar backing in compliance with U.S. regulatory standards. BIT Mining emphasized that DOLAI incorporates strict AML, KYC, and OFAC screening, distinguishing it as an institutional-grade alternative to existing stablecoins.
What sets DOLAI apart from other offerings is its AI-native architecture. The stablecoin is designed to integrate with protocols that enable autonomous machine-to-machine payments, allowing AI agents to request services, verify value, and settle transactions without human intervention. Such a system could redefine how micro-payments are conducted, particularly for API calls, cloud computing services, and decentralized applications requiring instant, low-cost transfers.
DOLAI’s launch on Solana is only the first phase. The company plans multi-chain interoperability, with API-based connectivity enabling seamless swaps across Ethereum, Base, Canton, and other blockchains. It will also support interactions with more than 20 existing stablecoins, including USDC and USDP. On the institutional side, banks and enterprises will be able to mint and redeem DOLAI directly via ACH or wire transfers, linking traditional finance with crypto-native settlement layers.
BIT Mining envisions a wide range of applications, from commerce and consumer payments—where DOLAI can facilitate online purchases and cross-border remittances—to institutional settlements that demand sub-second finality at a fraction of current transaction costs. The company also highlighted opportunities in Web3, GameFi, and tokenized real-world assets, with confidential transfers and yield-bearing products already under development.
“DOLAI represents our vision for a compliant, high-efficiency, AI-native stablecoin that not only meets the demands of consumers, merchants, traders, developers, and institutional users, but is also positioned to power the next generation of AI agent-driven financial interactions,” said Bo Yu, Chairman and COO of BIT Mining. “By enabling AI agents to autonomously access data, services, and liquidity while settling payments instantly on-chain, DOLAI is designed with the long-term goal of serving as the currency of the agentic economy.”
The launch comes as BIT Mining undergoes a broader transformation. The company, which began as a cryptocurrency mining business, is rebranding as SOLAI Limited (pending shareholder approval) to reflect its expansion into blockchain-based financial infrastructure. By leveraging its expertise in mining, data infrastructure, and blockchain settlement systems, the company aims to become a key player at the intersection of AI and decentralized finance.
If successful, DOLAI could emerge as a model for the next generation of stablecoins—ones that not only meet compliance requirements but also integrate directly with AI-driven financial ecosystems.
