Azerbaijan has taken another decisive step toward integrating digital assets into its regulated financial ecosystem. The country’s leading fintech platform, m10, and global blockchain powerhouse Binance announced the continuation of their partnership, enabling direct crypto-fiat operations in Azerbaijani manat (AZN). The collaboration, developed under the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Republic’s (CBAR) Regulatory Sandbox, marks a milestone in the country’s financial innovation strategy.

The renewed integration allows users to deposit and withdraw AZN seamlessly between their m10 and Binance accounts without relying on intermediaries. The system operates on official banking infrastructure, ensuring transparency, regulatory compliance, and data security. This initiative effectively introduces Azerbaijan’s first official crypto-fiat gateway, paving the way for broader blockchain adoption in the South Caucasus region.

The partnership remains under the supervision of CBAR’s sandbox, where m10 was the first fintech platform to gain testing and approval status. Within this framework, deposits are currently capped at USD 20,000 per month (or equivalent), resetting monthly, with a 1% deposit fee and a 1.5% withdrawal fee. Withdrawals, however, are not subject to volume restrictions. These parameters reflect the authorities’ measured approach to balancing innovation with financial oversight.

“m10 continues to play a key role in shaping Azerbaijan’s fintech landscape,” said Hamida Hajiguluzada, PashaPay’s Business Area Product Lead. “Our strategic partnership with Binance, developed within the Central Bank’s sandbox, has successfully completed its first phase and entered the next. Our goal is to offer users seamless, secure, and compliant access to crypto-fiat operations. Projects like this strengthen Azerbaijan’s fintech ecosystem, advance its global integration, and demonstrate our commitment to building long-term partnerships.”

From Binance’s perspective, the initiative signifies both regional expansion and alignment with local regulatory frameworks. Kyrylo Khomiakov, Binance’s Regional Head for CEE, Central Asia, and Africa, highlighted the broader implications: “This partnership provides users with the first official and secure way to use the national currency in the digital economy. Azerbaijan is one of the region’s most dynamic markets, and this fiat channel enhances convenience, transparency, and trust in digital assets.”

By bridging the gap between digital and traditional finance, Azerbaijan positions itself as an emerging hub for regulated blockchain operations. The collaboration reflects growing interest in compliant crypto infrastructure across Eurasia, where governments are seeking to integrate innovation without compromising oversight.

To access the service, users can log into Binance, select AZN (m10) under the Deposit menu, and transfer funds from their m10 account. Withdrawals are completed by entering m10 details within Binance’s Withdraw section.

As regulatory clarity deepens and fintech solutions mature, Azerbaijan’s model of public-private cooperation could offer a blueprint for other nations aiming to develop safe, transparent crypto-fiat channels.
