Nasdaq-listed AgriFORCE Growing Systems has announced a bold rebranding strategy, unveiling plans to become AVAX One, the first publicly traded company dedicated to holding Avalanche (AVAX) as its core treasury asset. The move signals a new chapter in the convergence of traditional finance and blockchain infrastructure.

The company disclosed on Monday its intent to raise $550 million through a two-step private investment in public equity (PIPE) arrangement, including a $300 million initial round and an additional $250 million in near-term funding. The long-term vision is even more ambitious: building a $700 million AVAX treasury that would firmly establish the firm as the leading corporate custodian of Avalanche tokens.

Matt Zhang, founder of Hivemind Capital and nominee for chairman of AgriFORCE’s board, positioned the strategy as a deliberate attempt to bridge Wall Street and blockchain ecosystems.“Our vision is to build the ‘Berkshire Hathaway of the on-chain financial economy,’”Zhang said, emphasizing the need for institutional-grade access to scalable blockchain infrastructure.

The PIPE deal is spearheaded by Hivemind Capital, joined by over 50 institutional and crypto-native investors including ParaFi, Galaxy Digital, Digital Currency Group, Kraken, and Republic Digital. This breadth of participation underscores the growing institutional appetite for exposure to Layer 1 protocols beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum.

AVAX One’s advisory board is set to include high-profile financial leaders. Anthony Scaramucci, founder of SkyBridge Capital, will serve as Advisory Chair, alongside Brett Tejpaul, head of Coinbase Institutional. Scaramucci lauded the project in a social media post, describing it as a pioneering model for bringing real-world assets, fintech, and insurance technology on-chain.

The announcement had an immediate impact on AgriFORCE’s stock, which surged over 130% in a single trading day as investors rushed to reprice the small-cap company’s future prospects. The market reaction highlights the speculative enthusiasm around corporate crypto treasury strategies, particularly in the context of mid- and low-cap public companies seeking to reinvent themselves through digital assets.

For Avalanche, the move represents a significant milestone. While corporate Bitcoin and Ethereum treasuries have made headlines for years, this marks the first attempt to institutionalize AVAX holdings at scale. It could also serve as a model for other firms exploring treasury diversification into alternative Layer 1 tokens.

Still, risks remain. Avalanche’s price recently fell 3% despite the announcement, reflecting broader market volatility. The sustainability of such treasuries will depend not only on token performance but also on regulatory scrutiny and investor sentiment in a still-evolving digital asset landscape.

With AVAX One, AgriFORCE is betting that institutional-grade crypto treasuries can go mainstream—and that Avalanche can serve as the foundation of a new financial architecture. Whether this experiment succeeds or falters, it will likely set a precedent for how traditional corporations navigate blockchain exposure in the years ahead.
