WEMADE’s latest move to establish a global alliance around its Korean won–backed stablecoin initiative signals a strategic escalation in South Korea’s ambitions to position itself at the center of next-generation digital finance. By bringing together Chainalysis, CertiK, and SentBe, the company is attempting to weave security, compliance, and cross-border functionality into a single infrastructure designed to make the KRW competitive on the international stage.

The partnership is anchored around StableNet, WEMADE’s blockchain ecosystem created to support Korean won–denominated stablecoins. With a mainnet launch set for 2026, the company is using this alliance to pre-build the rigorous standards that institutional stakeholders increasingly expect. During the announcement, WEMADE underscored that strengthening regulatory alignment and enhancing operational transparency are essential for transforming the KRW into a viable digital settlement currency.

Chainalysis plays a central role in this architecture. Its threat-detection engine, Hexagate, will work alongside the Sentinel monitoring system and the AI-powered scam-prevention tool Alterya to fortify the network against illicit activity. Together, these components are intended to create continuous oversight across risk modeling, compliance workflows, and transactional integrity. As stablecoins face intensified scrutiny worldwide, WEMADE’s decision to integrate this suite of analytics reflects a calculated attempt to anticipate regulatory demands rather than react to them.

CertiK, a well-established Web3 security firm, adds another structural layer. The company will run audits across the StableNet infrastructure and develop a dedicated block explorer aimed at improving transparency for users and institutions. Beyond that, CertiK will continue providing node validation services, ensuring StableNet’s mainnet is monitored consistently as it approaches live deployment. This emphasis on third-party verification positions the network to compete with global stablecoin issuers whose success relies on verifiable security assurances.

While security and compliance form the backbone of the alliance, SentBe represents its outward-facing utility. Known for processing nearly ten billion dollars in remittances, SentBe will help design KRW-denominated cross-border payment mechanisms using its international licensing and fiat-bridge infrastructure. With capabilities spanning 174 countries, the company is set to support verification and settlement processes for global transactions involving KRW-backed digital assets. This integration hints at broader ambitions: enabling international businesses, financial institutions, and migrant workers to transact in a stablecoin that mirrors the regulatory rigor of established payment networks.

The alliance was formalized at a signing event in Singapore where participants discussed the emerging landscape for real-world stablecoin adoption. The meeting highlighted a growing global appetite for asset-backed digital currencies that can integrate into established financial systems while offering blockchain-level settlement efficiency.

WEMADE also introduced STABLE ONE, its new mainnet tailored for KRW digital assets, during the “PROJECT STABLE ONE” event. The company views the network as a foundational pillar for expanding K-Finance beyond national borders. By constructing an ecosystem that merges technological resilience with regulatory credibility, WEMADE is betting that the Korean won can secure a foothold within the digital asset economy at a moment when global stablecoin policy is rapidly taking shape.
