ABOUT KAMINO
Kamino's mission is to create liquidity and utility for every asset. We want the world's best investments to be available through the financial platforms people already trust, and we want investors to be able to borrow against what they own when they need liquidity, instead of having to sell.
Today, the most valuable assets in the world are often the least useful to own. Trillions of dollars sit in private markets, behind high minimums and holding periods that can run for years. Tokenization is starting to move these assets onto shared, programmable infrastructure, but putting an asset onchain is only the first step. To be useful, it still needs distribution, compliance, servicing, credit and liquidity.
Kamino already runs the credit and liquidity engine at scale. It is the largest credit protocol on Solana and the largest credit platform for real-world assets onchain, with more than $650 billion in cumulative transaction volume and more than $20 billion in loans originated.
Now we are building the rest of that system for institutions. Kamino recently named Yieldstreet co-founder Michael Weisz as CEO and is building a new HQ in New York, alongside the asset managers and financial platforms that will shape this market. Almost none of that market exists yet, and we intend to build it.
Originate and close the institutional relationships driving Kamino's next phase of growth.
THE ROLE
Kamino is hiring a senior commercial operator to originate and grow institutional partnerships that open new markets for our credit, liquidity and vault infrastructure. You will connect asset managers, financial platforms and capital providers, shaping opportunities from the first conversation through negotiation, launch and commercial growth.
This is a senior, hands-on role within our Business Development team—not a relationship-management-only position. You will build your own pipeline, carry important deals and remain accountable for their results after signing. You will work closely with the Head of Business Development and senior leadership, sharing relationships and expertise across the team while helping determine where Kamino grows next.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Originate institutional partnerships. Build and own a pipeline across asset managers, financial platforms, and capital providers, prioritizing opportunities with clear commercial value for Kamino.
- Structure and close deals. Turn partner needs into propositions using Kamino’s credit, liquidity, and vault infrastructure. Own the economics and negotiations, including multi-party arrangements that connect assets, distribution, and capital.
- Take partnerships through launch. Lead the commercial work from diligence and contracting through integration, coordinating internal teams and securing the commitments needed for an active market—not just a signed agreement.
- Grow live partnerships. Remain accountable for funded activity and revenue after launch. Deepen senior relationships and expand successful partnerships into additional products and markets.
- Run a disciplined commercial pipeline. Maintain reliable forecasts, clear next steps, and concise recommendations on where Kamino should focus its resources.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 8+ years in institutional business development or a closely related commercial role in financial markets or infrastructure, with an attributable record of building your own pipeline, closing complex partnerships and turning them into live commercial results.
- Deep institutional-finance fluency and direct operating experience in digital assets or onchain markets. You understand tokenized assets, stablecoins and onchain credit, including collateral, liquidity, market risk and oracle design.
- Strong financial and commercial judgment: you can model deal economics, assess incentives, negotiate durable terms and prioritize opportunities by value, strategic fit and execution probability.
- An understanding of how institutions evaluate new infrastructure across product, risk, legal, technical and operating requirements, with enough technical judgment to work through custody and integration questions.
- A strong network across U.S. institutional finance and digital assets, and the credibility to lead senior counterparty relationships and negotiations.
- Exceptional commercial writing, reliable CRM and forecasting discipline, and the ability to move opportunities forward independently and with urgency.
- Daily fluency with AI-assisted research and commercial workflows, with careful verification of outputs.
STRONGLY PREFERRED
- Experience inside a bank, asset manager, exchange, custodian or institutional fintech.
- Direct experience with tokenized assets, stablecoins, private credit, fixed-rate products or DeFi lending.
- Experience commercializing products through a partner’s customer experience or building credit markets by bringing capital and borrower demand together.
- Experience in a lean company where senior commercial people remain close to analysis and execution.
