Strategy Inc., led by Michael Saylor, has expanded its Bitcoin treasury once again, acquiring 397 BTC valued at approximately $45.6 million. This marks the firm’s fourth consecutive week of Bitcoin accumulation, reinforcing its position as the largest corporate holder of the cryptocurrency. With this latest purchase, Strategy Inc. now owns 641,205 BTC—worth about $69.17 billion at current market prices.

According to filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the acquisition was financed entirely through internal capital reserves, underscoring the company’s liquidity strength and long-term conviction in Bitcoin. The firm’s aggregate acquisition cost sits at roughly $47.49 billion, leaving it with an unrealized gain exceeding $21 billion. Despite market volatility, Strategy’s Bitcoin-focused treasury model continues to deliver strong returns, with a reported 26.1% year-over-year yield in 2025.

Bitcoin was trading near $107,354 at the time of the announcement, down about 2.5% over the previous 24 hours. Analysts attribute the recent price softness to short-term holder capitulation, as newer investors absorb losses during market corrections. Data from Glassnode suggests such sell-offs typically precede accumulation phases by long-term investors—a pattern consistent with Strategy Inc.’s steady buying behavior.

Saylor’s firm has repeatedly emphasized that its accumulation schedule is immune to short-term market sentiment. Rather than trading reactively, Strategy treats Bitcoin as a monetary reserve asset designed to withstand inflationary and political shocks. “We are executing a long-term capital preservation strategy, not a speculative one,” Saylor noted in a previous statement, reiterating the firm’s conviction amid macroeconomic instability.

That instability is currently on display in Washington. The U.S. federal government shutdown has entered its fourth week, leaving hundreds of thousands of employees unpaid as partisan gridlock stalls budget negotiations. Former President Donald Trump, speaking to CBS News, criticized the Democratic Party’s stance and called for legislative action to reopen the government.

This prolonged political uncertainty has amplified Bitcoin’s narrative as a hedge against institutional fragility. Many crypto proponents argue that such crises reinforce the appeal of decentralized assets immune to government dysfunction. Strategy’s continued accumulation, therefore, arrives at a symbolic moment—one that aligns with growing skepticism toward traditional financial systems.

Meanwhile, other corporate players appear to be following Strategy’s lead. American Bitcoin recently announced a similar accumulation effort, suggesting a broader institutional trend toward digital assets. Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong also expressed optimism about forthcoming U.S. crypto regulation, predicting that a long-anticipated market structure bill could pass this year—potentially providing the clarity needed for more companies to adopt Bitcoin as a treasury reserve.

While price volatility remains a feature of the crypto market, Strategy Inc.’s unwavering approach highlights a maturing institutional perspective: Bitcoin is no longer a fringe asset but an integral part of diversified corporate balance sheets.
